Premier League team of the week- Darmian and Montero feature in Manchester City dominated XI

GK: Asmir Begovic (Chelsea) - an odd choice on the face of it after conceding three goals at Manchester City, but had it not been for Begovic's early saves Chelsea could have lost by five or six on Sunday.

RB: Matteo Darmian (Manchester United) - another strong performance from the calm, intelligent right-back, who showed his wily side by distracting Micah Richards at a corner, telling the defender he had something on his face.

CB: Vincent Kompany (Manchester City) - scored in his second successive game and kept Diego Costa quiet, which is some feat.

CB: John Stones (Everton) - after taming a potent Southampton attack, it is easy to see why he is being courted by Chelsea.

LB: Aleksandar Kolarov (Manchester City) - so often an unsung hero at City, the Serbian showed star quality against Chelsea, surging down the left to combine well with Raheem Sterling and give Branislav Ivanovic a torrid time.

RM: Riyad Mahrez (Leicester) - caused West Ham's defence problems all afternoon and scored his third goal in two games.

CM: David Silva (Manchester City) - provided assists for two of the three City goals on Sunday and was a class apart from compatriot Cesc Fabregas, who struggled for Chelsea.

CM: Yaya Toure (Manchester City) - bulldozed his way through the Chelsea midfield on Sunday

Looks in irresistible form.

LM: Jefferson Montero (Swansea) - after terrorising Ivanovic last week, Daryl Janmaat became Montero's latest victim

The Newcastle defender experienced just 41 minutes of torment at the hands of the Ecuadorian winger before being sent off.

CF: Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) - missed a sitter early on against Chelsea but eventually found the net after being thwarted by Begovic three times.

CF: Romelu Lukaku (Everton) - scored a stunning brace to give Everton one of the shock results of the weekend, a 3-0 win at Southampton.
