Pep Guardiola wins Premier League Manager of the Month for November

Man City boss Pep Guardiola has been named Premier League Manager of the Month for November following a flawless four weeks for his side.

It was a stellar month for City, who collected maximum points from their three domestic games and only conceded a single goal.

The undoubted highlight of was the 2-0 dominant Manchester derby victory away at Old Trafford on 6 November, which was one of several final nails in the coffin of Guardiola's counterpart Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

That was followed by a comfortable 3-0 win over Everton at the Etihad after the international break, and City rounded off the month's domestic action with an impressive 2-1 success against a tricky West Ham side.

Man City enjoyed a ridiculous average of 71% possession throughout that period, surrendering just five shots on target.

This represents the tenth time that the Catalan has claimed the award, with this his first since February. Only Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson have claimed the award on more occasions, with the 50-year-old surpassing Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp for the time being and equalling Hammers boss David Moyes in the overall standings.

While Guardiola has been rewarded for the Cityzens results and performances in the Premier League, his side were also flawless in Europe in November, beating both Club Brugge and Paris Saint-Germain to secure top spot in the Champions League group.

Victories over Aston Villa and Watford at the beginning of December have seen City rise to the summit of the top flight at Chelsea's expense, with the Blues slipping to a costly defeat against West Ham on Saturday.
