Paul Pogba contacted by intermediaries to gauge interest in Man City move

Intermediaries have made contact with Paul Pogba to see whether he would be interested in joining Manchester City this summer, 90min understands.

Pogba's contract at rivals Manchester United expires at the end of the season and he is expected to leave on a free transfer once again having initially left back in 2012.

90min has been told that while City have not yet tabled an offer for Pogba, they have put out feelers to his camp and the reigning Premier League champions would be interested in a deal. City are exploring a number of options ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, a recent break-in at Pogba's family home in the north-west could see the midfielder leave England. Paris Saint-Germain and former club Juventus have already tabled offers for him, while his camp has held talks with Real Madrid.

Listen now to 90min's brand new podcast, Talking Transfers, with Scott Saunders & Graeme Bailey. On this week's show they are joined by Toby Cudworth and discuss the interest in Aurelien Tchouameni, as well the contract situations of Sadio Mane, Reece James, Pep Guardiola & Kylian Mbappe, and updates on Marcus Rashford'.

Pogba's camp are also unsure whether he would want to leave United for their crosstown rivals as he still loves the Red Devils and acknowledges that they have played a huge part in his career.

United remain open to Pogba staying at Old Trafford but accepted weeks ago that he is likely to leave at the end of the season.

If the 29-year-old is to leave then he is likely to have already played his last game for United as he is unlikely to return from a calf injury picked up in their 4-0 loss to Liverpool before the end of the season.
