Nuno Espirito Santo reveals Harry Kane is available to play against Man City

Nuno Espirito Santo has revealed Harry Kane is available to feature in Tottenham's Premier League opener against Manchester City - the side trying to sign him this summer.

Kane finally returned to Spurs' training ground on Saturday, having spent some extra time away from the club on holiday. The England captain is eager to join City and believes he has a 'gentleman's agreement' with chairman Daniel Levy to allow him to walk away from the club.

However, while Pep Guardiola's side are confident they will be able to get a deal over the line, they are yet to table an acceptable offer and Levy is adamant that Kane will stay this summer regardless.

Ahead of Sunday's intriguing clash between the two sides, Santo revealed he expects those who have trained with the first-team squad to be available for selection.

When asked if Kane would be available, he told Sky Sports News: "All the players in the squad that work on a daily basis will be options for us."

Kane is quarantining at Tottenham's training ground hotel until Thursday and was due to hold talks with manager Nuno on Monday.

Guardiola recently confirmed City's interest in the 28-year-old, though admitted there will be no deal to be done if Spurs decline to enter negotiations.

He said: “[Kane] is playing for Tottenham Hotspur. If Tottenham don’t want to negotiate, it’s finished. If they are open to negotiate, not just Man City, all the top clubs will try to sign him. It's different from Jack [Grealish] - Jack had a release clause.

“Harry Kane is an exceptional, extraordinary striker, no doubts. We are interested but he is a Tottenham player. If they don't want to sell they don't, if they want we can try.”

Kane's pre-season tactics have angered a section of Tottenham fans, leading him to post a statement on social media rejecting claims that he refused to return for training, adding he "wouldn't do anything to jeopardise the relationship I have with the fans".
