Manchester City host Wolves on Saturday afternoon, as Pep Guardiola's men return to Premier League action following a disappointing midweek in the Champions League.
City topped their group in Europe, although rounded things off with a dissatisfying 2-1 defeat at RB Leipzig. That spelled an end to a seven-match winning streak across all competitions, in which they had been looking simply imperious.
Heading into this weekend as Premier League leaders, City welcome a Wolves side who find themselves eighth after having failed to win in their previous three fixtures.
Bruno Lage's men had appeared to be building momentum, although draws against Norwich and Burnley before losing to Liverpool have presented a slight bump in the road.

Guardiola was given fresh concern in his side's defeat to Leipzig as both Phil Foden and Nathan Ake were forced off the field through knocks. Neither, however, are thought to have sustained anything too serious with the City boss revealing his English star's withdrawal was just precautionary.
Elsewhere, Guardiola should have a largely healthy squad to choose from, with the only certain absentee being Ferran Torres as the Spaniard continues his recovery to fitness.
Kyle Walker is available because his reckless Champions League red card from Wednesday doesn't have any knock-on effect for domestic games.

Wolves team news
Lage will be without long-term absentees Willy Boly, Pedro Neto, Jonny and Yerson Mosquera for the trip north, but should be able to call upon the same squad that narrowly lost to Liverpool last time out.
Conor Coady and Rayan Ait-Nouri provided the Portuguese coach with a couple of concerns in that game, although both are expected to be fit to feature on Saturday.

These two clubs have a very close record against each other, with City coming out on top 50 times compared to Wolves' 49 victories in 124 meetings (35 draws).
City have obviously held the advantage in recent years, however. Dating back to 2011, the two sides have met nine times in the top flight, with Saturday's hosts winning six and losing just twice.
Wolves impressively managed the home and away double over Guardiola's team during the 2019/20 Premier League campaign but were swiftly brought back down to earth courtesy of quite comprehensive 3-1 and 4-1 defeats last season.

Manchester City will have to dust themselves down and react well to put their midweek Champions League sorrow out of mind. That. however, is easier said than done against a Wolves side who have been solid this term.
Lage's side have conceded just once in four games - having played West Ham and Liverpool in that time - and have deservedly climbed the table to pose a real threat to the European places.
They are very stable defensively and they present real potency when surging forward. But, they now face a City side that more often than not proves unplayable for opponents. With the talent they boast throughout their squad, you would expect Guardiola's side to find a way to quickly get back to winning ways.
