Harry Kane is 'increasingly confident' he'll secure a move to Manchester City this summer despite Tottenham's hierarchy remaining steadfast in the face of interest.
Having failed to claim silverware at Spurs yet again in 2020/21, Kane has informed the club of his desire to head for pastures new.
Sergio Aguero's move to Barcelona has left Pep Guardiola's side lacking in the forward department and their search for a replacement has seen them pursue a move for three-time Golden Boot winner Kane.
The England forward's representatives are keen to push for a deal, though as 90min recently revealed Daniel Levy has no intention of selling his prized asset - a stance which isn't particularly surprising given Kane still has three years remaining on his current deal.
Despite Spurs reluctance to entertain offers, Kane remains optimistic over a move and The Times report that the England striker is convinced an agreement will be reached before the close of the transfer window.
Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo and general director Fabio Paratici have both been incredibly active in the market of late - with a number of new arrivals in the pipeline - and Kane suspects their desire to freshen up the squad means they'll be open to selling him in a bid to generate additional funds.
A whole host of figures have been bandied about with regards to Spurs' ultimate valuation of Kane - most of which exceed £150m - but the Daily Star report that City are refusing to be held to ransom by the north London club and won't offer any more than £120m.
It is also said that City have already agreed personal terms with Kane, which include a contract of £350,000 a week, but getting Tottenham to sanction the move remains the one big hurdle.
Given the huge gulf between the two sides' current valuation of the striker it's difficult to envisage a deal being struck any time soon, with 'Kane to City' set to become the saga of the summer.
