Keegan had hoped to return for last week's goalless draw against Fulham but will now miss Sunday's trip to Villa Park also.

A club statement said: "Kevin Keegan yesterday underwent further treatment on a back complaint.

"The procedure has been a complete success and Kevin will be back to take training next week."
