Angelino Departs Man City Once More to Join Bundesliga Leaders RB Leipzig on Loan

Manchester City defender Angelino has departed the club once more to join Bundesliga leaders RB Leipzig on loan.

Having initially joined the Cityzens in the summer of 2012, the Spaniard embarked on various loan spells away from the club before finally sealing a permanent move to PSV Eindhoven six years later.

His form for the Dutch side saw him earn rave reviews, which prompted City to trigger a buy-back clause last summer that was placed in the five-year-deal he signed with the Eredivisie club.

But his return to the Premier League has yielded few opportunities, and he's now been allowed to move to the Bundesliga leaders on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

A short statement announcing his signing said: "Angelino to RB Leipzig until the end of the season! The Red Bulls are loaning the left defender from Manchester City.

"The 23-year-old Spaniard has been with the Manchester club since 2013 , has been awarded several times in the meantime and has since been signed by PSV Eindhoven.

Angelino

Julian Nagelsmann's side are bidding to secure a maiden top flight title this season, currently sitting one point above Bayern Munich at the division's summit.

Dani Olmo has already joined this window for £18m in a bid to strengthen their title challenge, and Angelino's arrival is a clear indication that Die Roten Bullen are intent on reinforcing their backline as well.
